On a cold and winter night, our friends Tom and Alex of the Greenhouse hosted us, along with Cicada summer and Blankslate, at the Lair.

The Lair was still vibing with Halloween decorations that were adorned by the neon pop stage lights and fog, both of which danced to frenzy and energy of the evening’s music. And I couldn’t have been more there for it.

I (Seneca) spoke with Blankslate (Tess, Em and Riley) a little before the got on stage. They had just came over the hill through the violent Katabatic winds after playing Cheyenne the blustery night before. Somewhere along their journey they got a flat, so they were stuck in town for a bit–A tale as old as time.

In Cheyenne, they rocked the Outlaw, which is a notorious cowboy saloon. Blankslate with their pop sensibilities and larger than life compositions seemed to have done well. It sounded like they had really great time.

I was stoked the Greenhouse got them in Laramie. I had just checked them out a few nights before and was slowly becoming obsessed with their song “little love.” You simply must hear it.

Cicada Summer had some really fun groves with a strong vocal presence that was a great way to end the night. They had a good time loosening up and delivered a great mixture of music.

We had a blast blazing through our songs as if we drank eight triple lattes right before. We also sold some of our new DIY merch; buttons and hats.

Shout out to Audrey and James, and they kinda made our day. Also a major shout out to Blankslate drummer Tess who shared this footage with us.
